Good work, California!I haven't seen any scheduled meetings announced in other states besides Cal.If I were in your place, I think I'd be telling the people at the other terminals to get off their butts and start organizing, so we don't need to be sitting around dreaming and scheming for one more minute than we have to!There are 49 other states than California. What is happening in them? Are they organizing or what?
It has been reported and confirmed today that LOS does not have hostlers anymore and their hostlers have been relegated to the dock and now P&D Drivers and Line Drivers are pulling their trailers to the docks and doing their own hooks. It has also been confirmed today that the two Whittier fuelers have also been demoted to the dock at WHT and line drivers will be paid an extra half hour to fuel their own tractors after their assigned workday.
The LOS and WHT situations are fact and not rumor I know these men personally. Now it is a fact Fedex is demoting and trying to undermine Fedex employees' benefits.
Which terminal is LOS? I'm not familiar with all (or many) of them.I do recognize Whitier, though. I have actually seen line drivers blow up at hostlers and fuelers for not getting their trucks ready. Two things about that: 1)it's a poor example of brotherhood and 2) it's not their fault. Do people really think they wanted to lose their jobs?Beware of divide and conquer. Remember, the company chose to do this to people. Sniping at each other only hurts us.
Hostlers at WHT PM shift have been told that their work group will be"cut up" and some of them will have to work on the dock.

I was happy to see the turnout today and we should continue to support each other in this fight for our familys and our right to a resonable retirment package. No other way to put it people the facts are very clear we will always be a number in this company. We can not allow them to take more of of benefits our vacation time and our full time hostler status from us. Remember the more they get away with the more others will lose. I know some drivers who seem to think their not on the list but as things progress and they will those folks will start crying to. The only way to stop the bleeding is to sign those cards and get some Teamster support otherwise you will see more loses and the more We lose the harder it will be to get it back NightRider from so cal.

HEY OUR SOUTHERN REGION PICNIC IS COMMING UP AS WELL SO WE COULD ALSO PASS OUT SOME INFO HERE AS WELL. WE HAVE HEARD PHOENIX AND DENVER HAVE HAD SOME LAYOFFS MAYBE SOMEONE CAN FOLLOW UP AND SEE IF THATS CORRECT. IF YOU KNOW A SOMEONE IN THESE YARDS FIND OUT FOR US. I WAS NOT ABLE TO ATTEND YESTERDAY IN WHT BUT I DID GET SOME INFORMATION LAST WEEK AT THE GAR MEETING. I ALSO WATCHED THE UNION FACTS VIDEO ONLINE AND WAS NOT IMPRESSED WITH IT. THERE WAS A REAL FINE POINT WHERE THE VIDEO SAID YOU HAVE NO VOICE AND NO CHOICE. SO WHEN DID WE EVER HAVE ONE HERE. WE HAVE NEVER BEEN ASKED TO SIT DOWN AND VOTE SOMETHING IN OR OUT THAT HAS TO DO WITH OUR COMPANY OUR FUTURE OUR BENEFITS OUR SENIORTY OUR WORK SCHEDULE OUR OVERTIME. NOW WE HAVE LEARNED OUR 401K IS CHANGING HANDS AGAIN, OUR CREDIT UNION MAY CHANGE OUR MEDICAL IS COMMING UP SOON AND CHANGES ARE COMMING HERE AS WELL.
