FedEx Threatens The U.S. Congress!

Today FedEx announced that they would halt the purchase of new planes for the Express division if Congress would change the NRLA rules that would move drivers and mechanics out from under the NRA to NRLA rules. This would make it alot easier for those employees to organize their division of the company.

Showing once again, Fred (I'm not anti-union) Smith's true colors. Once again FedEx does not have the employee’s best interest at heart. That FedEx, Wall Street and Corporate America are a bunch of PUNKS! They don't give a damn about the working people of America.

ABC’s World News Tonight reported that with the new cuts announced March 19, 2009. "FedEx hopes to save about $1 billion with the cuts in fiscal 2010, which starts in June." If FedEx does these cuts, they could pay for those planes in 4 years! Or where is all that money really going to? Maybe it will go to CEO’s bonuses?

All day, Customers have been asking me if the drivers at FedEx really want to organize. I tell them, "yes."

I was surprised at the amount of people who had no idea!

you guys are right, we must put up a fight for our human Rights. We must stop from being a corporate slave and organize now. Sovereign Fred Smith is leading us to famine, Pure Corporate Greed.

Would they really need to make those cuts in order to "save about
$1 billion"? Or is it possible that these people can buy a few less cameras and a few less feet of fencing? Is it possible that the next fiscal year won't include severance packages for all the redundant management they lay off when they "restructure"? Might they get away with building a few less terminals or not remodeling existing ones?

This place is a sham; it's all about perception. They lost hardly anything. It's the employees who lost. And now they threaten congress? This oughtta go over like a lead fart.

As popular as corporate America is with the public these days, this seems like a bad time for a handful of greedy bastards to threaten the representatives that millions of people elected to office.

I'm dying to know what this is going to do for their business, though. One thing is for certain: I will not listen to the hype and the crap these slimebags put out. I will look at the numbers!

Luis Herrera WHT supervisor harass me and took a Union flyer out of my hands while I was on my break time. This is against the law and I am going to call labor board on this deal.

Luis Herrera and his anti Union agenda at WHT is getting out of control again he is following me to the breakroom watching me trying to listen in on my conversations because he knows I am pro Union. Unbelievable on my lunch break this is harassment pure and simple. It is labor board time again.

Luis Herrera sounds like a clown.

What the hell is a 'Luis Herrera,' anyway? Is it some kind of low level manager? Maybe a frontline supervisor? Is it a soccer mom? A chronic gambler with other people's money?

Did it, along with Andy Lessin, earn a degree in Advanced Industrial Harassment from the California School of Miserable-Human-Beings?

If you had to ignore this . . . thing, would you be able to sit on the toilet stool without feeling the dirty eyes of a pedophile watching you?

Where did it come from? Like, man, if I wanna buy one, can I go to some kind of 'Luis Herrera' store in the mall? You've got one, now I want one. Clearly, they are for sale somewhere. Or, like countless other fleabag managers struggling to show their relevance to the bottom line, do I need to go directly into the bowels of Hell to find one?

I'd ask you, brother, to share yours with me, but your 'Luis Herrera' sounds so amusing that I don't think it would be fair of me to ask you to give it up. I think if I did have it for a while, I would help it to be a better product. For instance, since it likes to listen to things, I would give it something to hear. I might let it slip that the next union meeting is on a Saturday night-midnight to be exact. I might also mention that the meeting is behind a tavern. But that's just me.

If I were to meet it on my lunch, I would be certain that I had plenty of friends around listening to every word that flowed out of its hole. I'm getting old and I never know when a friend may need to refresh (or maybe just support) my joyful memories.

A 'Luis Herrera' sounds like an interesting thing to have around. It's obviously not a toy or I'd want to play with it. I doubt it plays music, 'cause I don't know which slot to shove the CD in. It can't be a discipline or else I'd study it. It cannot possibly be an SUV or else I'd drive it straight up a wall. One thing I'm certain of, though, is that it is some kind of tool such as an inflatable doll from a porn shop or a minister of propaganda. Either way, I'd figure out what its purpose is and use it.

It's got problems, alright, but it can be fixed. For now, though, consider your 'Luis Herrera' to be a broken down useless piece of crap. Sell it to the highest bidder. After all, this is what it is trying to do to you.

Just hang in there, and don't worry about Luis Herrera. You, brother, are needed to keep that freight moving. His kind are wadded up and thrown in the trash when it becomes obvious that they don’t scare the employees anymore.

Fedex can do what they want to, were going union and were going to be teamsters and then we are gonna bring back our FRIENDS and Family that they forced out and dis respected and then were going to make them pay for the pain they caused us. TEAMSTERS do go on strike when needed and it's needed.

Another principle Smith applied at FedEx was to make sure every employee felt they could share in the success of the company. FedEx managers are carefully trained to ensure respect for all employees, and their performance is monitored. Mangers are evaluated annually by both bosses and workers to ensure good relations between all levels of the company. Smith believes that fair treatment instills company loyalty, and that company loyalty always pays off.

This is a quote from the biography of Fred Smith from the Academy of Achievement(Google:Fred Smith Fedex CEO Biography)
What a hypocritical SOB this guy is,if you believe this puke after what this guy has orchestrated upon his,"loyal" employees You need a brain scan to determine what's wrong.
He'll claim the economy is dictating these drastic measures and he,no doubt, wishes he didn't have to implement them yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah.
The bottom line is:FOLLOW THE MONEY.Any one who would screw their sister out of their inheritance, obviously, will not hesitate to screw you faster and better.
Is you have any seniority you'll remember that we weathered severe economic times in the past and did not have to make the drastic changes that are taking place now.
Take this from a guy with an abundance of life experience.YOU are losing ALL the advantages, benefits, dignity and respect we have gained since,at least, the 70's.
YOU are being reduced to a worker unit to be exploited then discarded at HIS(Fred's) will.HE could care less about you. This goes for 3floor(aka Xman)and his colleagues also.No one is immune.
Quit your bitching Frankiez, what's the cure?
JOINING the TEAMSTERS!!!
"It's not the right time.""They'll shut the place down.""I'll join if he-they do."
Labors advances weren't accomplished when things were going well, they were gained by men and women who shouted,"ENOUGH!!!".We are tired of being treated this way.
This is not the time for the,"Sunshine Patriot"it's the time for us to unite as one through the TEAMSTERS and demand to be treated with respect and dignity with a CONTRACT that insures it.
I could go on but i think I've made my point. Now join me and other likeminded people to insure our-YOUR- future.

aka Frankiez

Im sure more of these supervisors we have will be cut, so they can do there job for now and knock us down a few at a time. Then Mr Smith will take care of these clowns like they are doing to us.
As for the college grads, most are going no where because all the old timers have to work past 70 now
because Fred and others like him forced the retirment age back and these jobs will be full of us baby bommers for years to come.

WE HAVE NO FREIGHT SO WHY DO WE NEED THESE JETS ?? MAYBE FRED NEEDS THEM FOR HIS HAWAII VACATIONS THIS COMPANY JUST SCREWED A BUNCH OF GOOD PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR RETIRMENT, THEIR HOUSES AND THEIR KIDS OUT OF MEDICAL AND DENTAL AND NOW THEY WANT, WHATS LEFT OF US TO WORK MORE AND MAKE LESS YA RIGH. THE U.S. CONGRESS HAS GOT TO SEE THE LIGHT HERE. FEDEX JUST FORCED MORE PEOPLE TO THE UNEMPLOYMENT LINE BECAUSE THEY CARE SO MUCH ABOUT OUR FAMILY VALUES.

Want to participate in organizing?
Don't want your identity known though?
Here's your answer.
The article attached is worth reading;but, you can be a part of the organizing effort to get us into the Teamsters. How?
contact your elected representatives-Senate & House and let them know you want Fedex reclassified under the NLRA rather than the FRLA(the article will explain the difference).
Thats it.Simple yet effective.
The more of us who make our voices heard will hasten our membership in the TEAMSTERS.
DO SOMETHING!!!
