Ask some of the Old Overnight drivers how the union helped them... It didn't, they voted the union in 16 yrs ago with never getting a contract. they voted them out and than UPS bought Overnight and let go of drivers. Remember everything goes to a bargaining table. You can lose benefits and pay. Speak about safety, Have you asked a teamster driver what they are charged when they have to report traffic violations or accidents. The union can collect a fee for this. Couple of hundreds of dollars. I know.

Thanks for stepping up and going 1st! Someone needed to be the BRAVE. Y'all deserve respect. I can only hope we all follow in the deep footprints you've left.

Power to the people!!! Fedex freight has long enough abussed their truck drivers by cutting their hrs (under 40 hrs), harass them if they so much talk about unionizing, and find then any way they can to fire, or let go of that employee, to make it an example for everyone else. Fedex freight deserves whats coming...

Just remember, ups freight now $26.50 now, union dues $60.00 and guanteed 40 hrs a week, and no medical insurance premiuns. Fedex freight $25.70 per hr in september, no 40 hrs are guaranteed, we pay medical insurance $200 a month, plus deductibles up to $2,400 each family member. You do the math.

Come on guys fedex freight drivers average 45k gross, ups drivers (formerly known as overnite freight) average gross 75k. Do the math. Even paying union dues under $1000.00 a year im still missing $29,000.00 of my paycheck from being a fedex driver..teamsters are need it at fedex freight

Anonymous said...

Do the math fedex drivers. The truth is in numbers!!!

Anonymous said...

Sir you sound like an undercover fedex redshirt supervisor trying to create confusion here, after all ups freight drivers (formerly overnite freight) gross out salary is 75k average a year, when fedex freight driver (formerly american freightways) average salary is 45k a year.

Read it, my opinion is we are a nation of corporate mafiosi so we need a counter balance so us workers will be threated as humans, and respected by ceos.. we are humans producing numbers and revenue for companies, not numbers producing numbers, without us companies wont survive. Whats the point of producing without the incentive to consume and be rewarded. Its seem that lately big corporate ceos have forgoten they exist because we the people, the mob, the cattle, as we are being called, work for you.... do you think mr ceo you can produce a product, and sell it to the people, if people are not willing to buy it? Ask yourself that question!!! Without us your are nothing but a king Without subjects to rule.. you need us more than you think... so you see, unions are need it in big corporations like fedex so we will be threated as humans not numbers...

A little story about upper management, trying to change what trucking industry is at fedex freight. 91% before noon 100% before1400 on deliveries, all pick ups confirmed by 1800 and back in the terminal. Well looks good on paper but not in real life as a trucker trying to do all this driving a semi tractor trailer in a metropolis, that caused many accidents and personal injuries to truck drivers way to go upper management your little stirup has caused us to seek protection from an outside source..! Say hello to my friends!!!! The teamsters!!!

lol union representation will not make your lives better. the grass isnt always greener. fedex is a great place to work so long as you do your job and stay motivated. if you dont like it go to college and get a better career. instead of being drama queens. no one there is working for free, no one is telling you to do anything your not supposed to. simple as that, you dont like it ust leave.

Nice mr supervisor, college grad, well educated by fedex, to say this to a truck driver that probably could not go to college, just because his or her opportunities were less than yours, perhaps saying to a truck driver, just leave and go to college, opens up a new driving possition for those with less experience, so he or she wont vote pro union, and easily be more manageable. .... good mr manager, (also employee of fedex) good luck to you too (f........you)

Since 2008 I saw fedex freight let go (lay off 900 truck drivers because bad economy), 300 daytime road run eliminated and road drivers had to follow work or be laidoff and freight was given to railroad (union labour)!!!! What are you thinking! You high powered executives at fedex freigh, do you care for workers??? Meaning humans??? Or we are just numbers to you?? Thats why union at fedex freight, we are humans not robots, you corporate executives with your college and university education and your beautiful bright corporate ideas, have made all possible to create a collective consiousness among truck drivers to decide to become teamsters. Mr #1 should be thanking you for it. No one here is afraid anymore.

After all fedex dont care about their people they just care about numbers. What happened to the purple promise? What happened to people first company? Your corporate greediness has brough up the teamster upon you!!!!! Happy unionizing! !!!!

Att you'all truck drivers at fedex freight, in months to come there will meetings at your terminal, about the evils of the union and you will be followed by safety~security while doing deliveries, you will be closely monitored, recorded and videotaped!! Be on your best behaviour, if someone is rude or cuts you off ignore them, do not act in any agressive manner while driving or answer back to customers if they are being rude to you, this applies especially to those old folks and old timers, fedex is looking forward to replace you with some young blood off the street, they know only 51% gets the union in, young bloods (new commers) dont know anything of whats going on here and will be mislead by fedex by voting against the union!! Ps signing the union card is not signing your life away, it just shows union interest in a workplace, it gives a union organizer the power of filling a petition with nlrb(goverment agency) then when is approved final voting should takeplace, and remember you vote is secret.
