FedEx Freight Stockton Teamsters ULP Update

With the help of Rob Nicewonger from Teamsters Local 439 and its attorneys headed by Costa Kerestenzis, Teamsters Local 439 was able to secure a settlement with FedEx Freight in the amount of $42,500 which was distributed to the affected drivers of the Stockton, California, service center.

The Union successfully filed a charge on behalf of the unionized drivers of the Stockton, California, service center arguing that the use of "loaner drivers" from other terminals had negatively affected the local drivers of the Stockton, California, service center by taking away work and overtime hours from the Package & Delivery drivers.

Ultimately a settlement was successfully reached with FedEx in the amount of $42,500 which was distributed to the affected drivers of the Stockton, California, service center for FedEx's use of "loaner drivers" without bargaining with the unionized drivers over the decision to begin using the "loaner drivers."

A total of 33 drivers were paid out for a total amount of $1287.87 each.

It's good to have representation.
Be Wise and Organize!!
