sounds to me like the teamsters really want fedex i wonder why ? could it be that if yrc closes its doors they will be in big trouble of having toclose there doors. i was ready to sign the card but after seeing this i dont think it looks good for us. to me it dosent look like they care about us they are just care about getting our money and fedex money because he said "can we really aford not to go after fedex"
i think signing up with teamsters is a great idea.
If you had done some homework you would know that that Western Pension Fund is fully funded. If YRC should go down in flames I'm sure it might create a promblem.But remember the reason YRC is in this mess is not because of the Teamsters,it's because of "BAD" management decisions.If you have been here since the Viking days, we went through a rough time when management bought all those other companies,Cole's,Spartan etc.Who was to blame for that? The Teamsters? No once again, "BAD" management decisions.That was a very good example of what the new buzz word of our times is now,"CORPORATE GREED!"So before you put down your pen, think again about signing a "card". If it doesn't work out,we can always vote the union out.Bet you didn't know that. And why would you. You sound like management anyway. Alway's using YRC as an example. You should be more worried about whats happen here at fdx frt instead. Like losing hours,miles, benefits. This place can't even get you a full set of uniforms (made in Taiwann and not in the U.S.A. by the way!) But they have now problem buying new wands for p&d drivers. Printing up new forms for joms and sells leads.Also if times are hard here, why is the co. raising rates higher to established customers who then run to conway or other carriers?So worry about what is happening here. You who has no balls to put your name to your comment. Join all of us who well do the "Right Thing". Or get out of the way!
Yes Rudy, that is a manager who is hiding behind a C.E.O's rear. The same manager who once put me in the spot by telling the P.M dock workers not to bring the union in. I am a supervisor, and was coach to tell the dockhand not to bring the union in, because if the union came in, we would be force to fired our dockhand and then rehired them according to the Teamster contract. That just almost made me puke, we were force to say this terrible lie so that the employees would be scared to vote the union in. Let me say that I am sorry.. from a tired red shirt
Linda Robles at WHT harassed me in the office and threatened me that if the Union comes in then we will lose our jobs. I want to leave my name but Andy Lessin her best friend and Union buster buddy will harass me non stop and I don't want to end up like other Union supporters who get followed into the bathroom by Andy or quit because they are harassed or certain drivers who are fired for being Union sympathizers. Good luck we need the Union bad here in WHT.
(To red shirt) I was a dockworker in Fontana service center and I remember that incident happening in the P.M dock when the organizing start it. It was about a year or so , that a P.M dock shift meeting took place, and Steve Duggard start it saying that he was involve in a union organizing drive and won, and that his company had to fired the employees so that they could reorganize the employees new seniorty list, and John Hinkley was saying to us dock workers to listen to this story because this could happen to us. Now I know FedEx management lies to us, because I was one those full time dock workers who didn't support the union and was made into a part time. But after all my loyaty to Russ Fleck and his corporation because Russ said he had strong influential with management if I show them that I would disrupt the union drive in Fontana and others to follow me and this is the thanks I get... , I decided to leave, because you are nothing but a number or a money maker machine for the Corporate GREED... Hopefully someone else could figured out who am I now!!.. P.S Rudy and Joe keep the leadership strong, should have listen to you guys but too late now, and those that were'd following me will follow you guys now...
I am also a tired red shirt, who tired of the changed from harrison ak. I know for sure I am going to be cut, and I hope you guys from changefedextowin win this battle. you guys are going to need the teamsters because fedex east is notoriously trying get back at us, why? cause exviking mngt thought they were untouchable. that fred smith was going to keep them under his wing forever. all this is revenge from american freightway when exviking was closing their service center or merging us, and we got rid of their staff mgnt and some employees. well payback is a bitch, but anyways keep on organizing and hopefully someday we be able to organize the supervisors and dispatches. History tells the stories and when union co's go down after 25 35 years others come up like were going to do. Transcon, CF, and others ran there course and so will we. If Yrc does go down we will pick up the slack just like other trucking company's will do and move on. Only this time with a binding contract until our turn runs out. Rich People will still run this show and make there millions but we will have a better shot at life too. Our management folks are out of control and we cant even trust that our job is safe anymore after all these cuts and lost benefits We are asked to work harder for much less. There will always be the Rich, The Poor and the middle ground But were all headed down a notch or two more if we dont stand tall now. Become the teamsters and get your share now OR GIVE IT BACK TO THEM.
( to "guess who") Well it's good to see a dockworker stand up, but brother you gave up, not trying an effort, and that just gave FedEx a bigger chip on their shoulder. It's never too late as a Teamsters, we learn to forgive. I am pretty sure that Joe and Rudy would have accept you, we all make mistake and are mislead by bad management like this Russ Fleck. My name is Mario.F and I work at FedEx Frt as a part time dockworker and I also work at U.P.S parcel, and my point is I don't give up. I work at U.P.S because it provides me with medical benefits for my family with just 20 hrs of my service. What does FeEx gives you? nothing but only gives you stress problem of you own, do you have children? and how are going to provide medical benefit for children? break your kids piggy bank! so you can pay the bill. what a shame that FedEx can't help you, that is not Russ Fleck problem either, remember Russ is out there taking care of his nest not yours, and by the way I don't know who this Russ is and don't care to know him either. what I don't understand is why this dockworkers who were once fulltime, don't take a stand and step up to the plate and be part of this organize drive. what do they have to lose now that FedEx hasn't taking away, step up to the plate and get your balls back and be a man, because I just can't believe this supervisors blogging have more f#&'ing balls. thx Mario.F
when manager like (Russ Fleck) says they have strong influential power and to follow them, they are bullshiters. they use you and manipulate you...! The best influential power is you, an educated mind goes a lot further than kissing ass, knowledge is pure power. union power, Teamsters power!!!!
I KEEP HEARING THEY (YRC) HAVE PROBLEMS, TOOK PAY CUTS AND THE TEAMSTERS DID NOTHING TO HELP US OR THEM. WELL GUESS WHAT FEDEX STOPPED THERE DEFINED PENSION PLAN, DROP THE 401K MATCH, CUT SOME HOURS AND FORCED MOST OF US DOCK PEOPLE TO PART TIME STATUS. ROBBED US OF OUR BENEFITS AND KILLED OUR SENIORITY ALONG THE WAY. THESE ARE NOT PROBLEMS BUT SOLUTIONS AT FEDEX, WHILE AT YRC THESE SAME ISSUES ARE PROBLEMS. IF ITS GOLD ITS GOLD, IF ITS RED ITS RED. SAME CUTS JUST DONE FROM ANOTHER POINT OF VIEW. FEDEX SEE'S PURPLE WHILE WE SEE RED. WE NEED THE TEAMSTERS HERE NOW MORE THAN EVER AND THE LONGER WE WAIT THE MORE WE LOSE IN TERMS OF QUALITY OF LIFE. EVERY MONTH WE PUT IT OFF WILL TAKE 1 YEAR TO GET IT BACK. BRING THE TEAMSTERS IN NOW OR MORE OF US WILL GET THE SHAFT. LOOK AT THE SHOPS NOW SOME WORK BEING DONE BY OUTSIDE VENDORS AS WE STAND BY, MAYBE YOUR POSISTION IS NEXT TO FALL BY THE WAYSIDE. WE TOLD YOU, WE WARNED YOU NOW WE BEG YOU GET IT TOGETHER AND BE COUNTED OR DONT CRY FOUL WHEN YOU SEE THE NEXT ROUND OF CUTS.
thats it for us were all thru being just a number here and most of us have lost so much pride and the thought of being part time not full time has caused so much pain for the family man that we cannot relax for even a minuet because we could lose that much more and the time to fight is right now not after more people get toasted by fedex and there wicked supervisors were all in on this battle together and we have no where to run so we may as well turn and face this thing as a united front the teamsters can't hurt what fedex has already taken from us so be a part of HISTORY, your signature is your glove so be ready to fight for your right to a safe retirment and a better tomorrow. Employees United together is the only way to make your Voice Heard.

I think it has something to do with the mangaqement being a bunch off illiterates because they were promoted by their buddies. Now the chickens are coming home to roost.It sucks when nobody's got your back . . . doesn't it!?Like I was told by an old Viking manager with a sense of humor the day I was cut to part time and lost my benefits: "Sucks to be you!"No offense buddy, but I don't give a damn if the supervisors organize or not. They're already organized and you know it. We tangle with one and we end up tangling with them all. I can't wait till the shoe's on the other foot.

First of all let me say Rudy Hernandez and Joe Nuño you guys have courageous effort on standing up for our rights, if there were more of you guys this company would have been organize now. Great video, I salute you guys!. Second thing I want to say is Mr. Mario you are absolutly right continue on working here at Fedex and don't give up. Find yourself a second job and make ends meet for yourself and maybe your family, until things fall in place. As for now be part of this organizing drive and become part of history when Fedex becomes a unionize company. Third Fedex is sure looking a lot like C.F frt, cause lately our equipment is looking like crap, not being wash or care for, what a sad Image. east coast managers sure thinks they are far superior than the west coast managers, stop them and get involve in this organize drive. It's about time to get our brothers and sisters to united against this company.All of you people are good peopleand deserve to be treated fairlyand with respect. As you all know that the lack of respect and unfair treatment from this company has driven us to unite agaist them. As for Russ,Andy and all the others they are doing what they can to save their incomes by misleading the employees with there bosses approval. Its now their job! They know its not fair to the employees but they dare not to say anything or else its down the road for them as well. By them promoting these unfair practices we are the people who are affected by this. Lets unite and make a difference.
