thats funny, gee i wonder what you are trying to say. I hate to break it to you but the sign was all an my own. What committe, and what kind of stuff at the work place is happening, you know, just because i dont agree with your opinions doesnt mean i wont, or have not helped any of you at work. I dont see this happening at fta. Wait, just the other day I opened a spot for one of you to park your trailer. If you needed help in the yard, i have and will always help. So what is this about our vulgar signs. I know it is irritating to see them, but trust me, i made sure of what i could put on those signs before i posted them. And trust me, i could have done a lot worse and still been able to post them, you know, freedom of speach. Yeah i know it is a pain. Oh and bugsy, are you from wht terminal? Hey just look at the parking lot there in a couple weeks, yeah its gonna hurt a lil. Larry

Oh let me add this to your comment. Up until the day i saw the signs myself, there was no chaos. Even at this very moment i dont believe that there is hatred here or really even chaos. I never once complained to any management about your signs, all i did was make my own. I hear all this freedom of speech comments, but im not buying it. If you all really believed those words, you would have never taken pictures of my truck trying to get me to take down my sign. My comments on the other site were deleted, and that doesnt raise any eyebrows? I know that all of you really believe in your hearts, that im doing this for management, but your so wrong. You and I have the right to post our signs, to publically speak about our views on the union, but they dont. They cant post a sign or contribute, why? Isnt that taking their rights away? Larry

I was harassed by Cesar Cuevas on Friday. He tried to set me up by lying about a QA coming to my trailer to take a picture when the QA had already went home and a picture of the damaged freight was not taken. I had to go get Luis to take a picture and Cesar wouldn't help me. Cesar also tried to get another dockworker to pull freight out of the trailer before a picture by Luis was taken. If the picture was not taken and I pulled the freight out then Cesar would try and write me up. I feel like Cesar is just trying to write me up because I am a union supporter. This really hurts me personally because I used to be real tight with the guy. Damn he used to rent housing from my family we are from the same neighborhood and he tries to set me up constantly like this just more harassment. Andy you know he hates me he does nothing but Andy just harasses me too. I told Chris Richer about what happened we will see if anything gets done but I know the management will come up with some kind of excuse. And then my friend Paul Reibson, shop steward/organizer/fedex employee, who gets hit by a forklift driven by an Operations Manager's brother now the forklift driver gets to milk it and take a 45 minute lunch on Friday buying lunch for all the supervisors. I guess there was a price on Paul's head for openly supporting the union. Is his life in danger or what? Was Paul Reibson set up by management? Maybe he was and now the guy that hit him Tom hasn't been suspended or nothing he even does instructional work by instructing guys how to load when he comes in then he takes a lunch and buys all the supervisors lunch trying to move up. Tom I guess you get a reward for hitting Paul Reibson. Paul even had some supervisor Mike giving him shit by laughing at him asking him hows his arms doing laughing. There are some witness to that harassment. Paul is lucky all he got were some bruises on his arms, but another worker Ozzy wasn't so lucky. A pallet fell on his leg severely injuring him. Now Ozzy is forced to go on light duty by the butcher from the meathouse clinic. Believe me I know all about that place. They rubbed me back good though and so Ozzy has to hobble all the way from the parking lot everyday while Andy Lessin sometimes parks in the handicap spot instead of having Ozzy use it. The guy is using a damn cane to walk bro damn what compassion. What would Jesus do? Jesus would organize!!!

Mr walt Rak Line Driver from whittier, you really need to get your facts right,Before you cuz a Brother out!It was not the unions who put Milne,CF,ANR,PIE,Trans-con Nations way,U.S western and many other company out.In the 80's many high paid lawyers come out with this plan to scout future nonunion companys that were sucessful in the frt business. Then they coach management to let go of their current union companys to hit rock bottom crash them to the ground, that is call union shrinkage. Then they would relocate,to nonunion company! And then they would blame the unions!!

FedEx bought American Freightways in 2001 and integrated AF into FedEx Freight. Teamsters Local 710 were in an organizing drive at the AF facility in Summit at the time FedEx management took over. Union supporter Tommy Glass faced retaliation and intimidation as part of the anti-union campaign run by management at that time. Glass filed unfair labor practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board and the NLRB sided with Glass. FedEx took the unusually stubborn step and appealed the NLRB ruling to the Court of Appeals Seventh Circuit. The Court of Appeals decided in favor Glass for his reinstatement in December 2005.

I wanted to speak to Luis Herrera. Luis you were doing so good last week and now you are cussing at me getting all nasty again. I won't tolerate it and there is no need for you to speak to me that way so stop it the harassment needs to stop. I saw that line om James Mayer yelling at some union yes employees yesterday. I saw it all I am a witness so if anyone wants to come to Sal. Sal knows who I am and he can put you in contact with me so we could let the teamsters know about this harassment. I know there were more people who saw than just myself so come forward contact HR or the union. These supervisors Luis and James need to stop harassing employees talking down to them it is not fair.

I have to wonder why HR hasn't came down to interview anybody already with all this crap going on it is rediculous

I know for a fact that Dan Sanchez saw the employee harassment last night from James Meyer and did nothing. Why is it that Andy Lessin does nothing? Maybe they just don't care. This is why we need a union. All witnesses who saw something last night please come forward to myself or the other shop stewards we will take it from there. Stop the harassment at Whittier go and tell someone. Don't be afraid of retaliation from the management tell your shop stewards whats going on. Better recognize and Organize!!!!!!!!!

some harassment highlights from James Meyer are:
1) One Employee gets in the captive audience union no employee meeting and James bad mouths the union the employee had family who works in a union company for over 20 years and becomes offended by the bad mouth union no talk. He then tells James,"The union ain't all bad." and after the meeting James follows the employee on the loading dock in a threatening manner and runs up to the breakout the employee is in and said,"Don't stir up trouble talking union around here." The employee then already offended feels an even deeper hurt and harassment from James.
2) The second Employee worked on and off in the office for 7 years and because of favortism and a union yes stance he found his job replaced by someone else under the guidance of James Meyer. The employee felt harassed and victimized that he had worked in the department for so long and not been written up for wrongdoing, but because James didn't like him be it personal reasons or a union yes stance he was relegated to the dock and demoted.
3) The third employee who was harassed worked in the office and requested benefits because he worked 40 hours per week and his girlfriend was expecting. HR denied these benefits and the employee was sent back to work the dock because part timers can only get 32 hours per week not 40 at Fedex Freight. The employee eventually went supplemental and found a day job better off for his family.
