My Conversation With An UPS Freight Supervisor ...

Today I had a conversion with a UPS Freight supervisor (formerly Overnite) about how things were going on over there, since they became Teamsters. He mentioned that all of management had educational class' to help inform them of what it is like to work with a terminal that is organized. He said what he had gotten out of these meeting is that UPS Packaging has been working with the Union for many years now and it has worked just fine there, so they should have no problems with it working here at UP Freight.

This just goes to show you all, that a company will do anything it takes to oppose a campaign to organize a company,( lie, threaten, pay a union buster any amount of money) to keep it out. But in the long run, will deal with it when it comes!

Unionizing Begins With You, Organizing Begins With You.
Tag Your It!

BE WISE AND ORGANIZE!
FEDEX EMPLOYEES!

I work on PM at Whittier and I have to say it sucks the way some supervisors treat employees at Fedex. Mike Hughes every time I try to turn in my breakout he tries to play games and run away from me like it is some kind of joke. I am here to work and not play games. Also he is always mad and in a bad mood when he is at work along with Frank Verdugo. Both of these people dont know how to talk to employees and treat people worse than crap

Let’s talk about the real thieves, the union buster, I’m sorry the union consultant.
They have no shame in taking corporate money whether the company loses it or gains it, if the union comes or goes, all they see is plain GREEN!!!
At $ 500 to $ 1000 per head plus food and lodging just to try to keep the Teamsters out, do the math about 17,000 employees times = is your answer. And here they are trying to make everybody part time in the dock, no fringe benefit, a benefit (as vacation, health insurance, or pension plan) given by an employer to employees in addition to pay.

I overheard 2 supervisors at Whittier saying,
"THE DOCKWORKERS DON'T DO ANYTHING. THEY ARE LUCKY THEY HAVE BENEFITS. REALLY IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT THE DOCKWORKERS DO NOTHING AND GET ALL KINDS OF BENEFITS."
This is ridiculous and a total disrespectful comment made by 2 supervisors while other workers overheard. I don't want to name names of the supervisors but you know who you are. Thank you for disrespecting our jobs and demeaning our work as Fedex employees. And Fedex management and HR wonders why we want a Union?
