Devore SCM At It Again

Our terminal manager in Devore is at it again. Russ is handing out, to certain employee's,printed articles about YRC troubles and how they are asking their employee's to take cuts to help with YRC's financial problems.

The article is from the folks who challenaged Mr. Hoffa for the position as president of the Teamsters and lost. So this is most likely a twisted view to YRC's problems.

At least, the members are being asked to help out their company. We as ' at will' employee's would not have a voice. And one day we could come to work and find out our wages are cut, without any input from you!

Like in our last employee meeting the answer to these concerns was ' thats just the way it is'.

The Time To Organize Is Now!

Copy this article.Present it to Mr. Fleck and inform him that YRC is in trouble because of BAD MANAGEMENT DECISIONS-similar,I might add,to those being made by FEDEX FREIGHT.
That is,the TEAMSTERS had NOTHING TO DO with YRC's woes.
Also, point out that a few WELL MANAGED UNION COMPANIES e.g.UPS,ABF to name just two are doing quite well.

Why is it that here in WHT we get treated like second rate employees basically slaves. I remember Andy Lessin holding one of his anti Union meetings and at this meeting Andy Lessin and Carlos Arzate were talking about how bad the Union is and Andy was staring at me the whole time. After the Union busting meeting was over Andy came to where I was working and Andy stared at me in an intimidating manner for about 2-3 minutes until I broke the tension and said hello to him and he engaged me in conversation. I could tell Andy was mad at me because I am pro Union.

IRONIC,this HAS NOT BEEN VERIFIED;and I trust someone will do so, or refute it with verifiable facts that the same Mr. Fleck is in the process of obtaining a college degree with a major in education.
A noble effort, especially during these times of turmoil at FEDEX,and Russ is to be commended.
However,I'm drawn to ponder the dilemma he will find himself in when he graduates, secures a teaching position and,as part of his CONTRACT is required to join a UNION.
We'll rejoice in that we,probably, will provide him with a wealth of information propagating the UNION's positions on the plight of the common man-LABOR-against the greedy management who's sole effort is to deprive LABOR of it's just compensation.
In the true spirit of LABOR's tendency to help all the downtrodden,we'll even assist him to bolster his arguments against management.
Truly IRONIC.
Good Luck Russ-we'll be there with you all the way.
A word of caution though, don't look to you previous collagues for assistance. They'll avoid you because you turned on them.
A single condensed version of the above:"what goes around, comes around".

TDU is what FedEx use to disclose information on Teamster, and TDU stands for Teamsters Democract Union. This is not the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, so Russell Fleck get your reliable source right......

Tonight Frank Verdugo went off on an employee on the PM shift yelling at him saying to the employee why didn't you tie up your freight. The employee just looked real intimidated. From what I hear this is Franks as usual.
