WHAT DOES LOYALTY GET YOU AT FEDEX? Many FedEx workers say that it used to be a company where hard work and loyalty were rewarded. but is managrment really looking out for you and your family during this current recession? Do you think it's time for FedEx to give you enough respect to negotiate the rules-like seniority-that affect you at work? Then come to a Teamsters meeting and find out how you can be part of forming a union at FedEx Freight. Remember in Fred Smith thought (it's good thing the purple promise only applies to customers...) Master Russ Fleck did you watch 60 minutes this pass sunday 4-19-09? THE FEDEX WATCHDOG, RUFF RUFF...

Yeah russ, you always said that your a wizard at our 401k plan. What happen? let me ask you a question, are you a lobbyist for the FedEx 401k too? Let me tell you russ this is the first time I have been on this website, and going thru it all nite reading every bit of information, I have realize now that we do need a union now. By the way russ that fraternizing bit is refering to you and beattle girlfriend...

I HEARD FRED IS COMMING DOWN TO THE SO REGION TO TALK WITH US. IF SO WHEN. BECAUSE I WANT HIM TO KNOW WE DO CARE ABOUT THIS COMPANY BUT THE MANAGMENT IS OUT OF CONTROL AND HE NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS NOW.

ain't that a bitch, we are force to join the 401k unless we oppt. we as part time employees at FedEx can't afford to join this pyramid scam offer by FedEx management who act like agents for Vanguard. luckly that I am a part time emloyee at U.P.S parcel and received free medical benefit and retirement paid by U.P.S, and I also have an excellent working contract by the Teamsters. way to go Mario, all our part time workers have to work 2 jobs to make ends meet. Fedex cares so much for us that they screwed over a great bunch of employees and we will not foget this when the 1st strike comes around. Teamsters have shown us that we can we will we have to unite. Never though I would say that but we need a contract like ups now. The 401k or the portable pension are both smoke screens. If we stand alone we will all fail and thats what they want. UNITED WE STAND.

Come on, let's be real for a moment. He knows damn good and well we care. But this is a publicly held company. Even he wanted to, there isn't a hell of a lot he could do that would return the company to what it was.

This is a business and he is in it to make a profit. The fact that you care about it is as important to him as if you didn't care about it. It doesn't matter!

It's a business, we have to protect our interest. Are we so stupid as to give them all of it? This is a good business decision FOR US! They've got theirs, and they will always get theirs regardless of if the union is there or not!

Thank you guys for your replies, one more thing I forgot to mention, the benefit of being under a union contract is that I only need to work 20 hrs a week for my fringe benefits, and what does FeEx offer squad shit.... Mario.F

I need to know when Fred is coming down, I want to ask him if when he founded FedEx he had envisioned a company where salaried "supervisors" conducted themselves in an unprofessional manner (swearing at hourly employees during pre-shift meetings, attempting to intimidate the same employees), and taking numerous smoke/foosball/pool breaks throughout the day.

More specifically how FedEx can continue to make personnel cuts, but continue to allow these Red-Shirts to continue on with this "time-theft".

TACTICS.
The company goes to great lengths to stop us from organizing to join the Teamsters.Right?
Well we can do likewise to change the-upper- management at Fedex. How?
Enroll in the stock purchase program.then when you are sent the proxy statement to vote for the board of directors(Fred Smith is one of them)vote no to his being voted in by proxy.
Then too communicate to members of the board. For instance A. Busch of Budweiser is a member.Let him know you will not be able to purchase his products because of Fred Smith's policies towards his employees (sorry,WORKERS).
Imagine is most or all of us voted against Fred.Bet he wouldn't be in the top 100 companies to work for any more.

Apparently Mario is a fighter and not a person who would give up like you. You see, if you believe in something and you know what you want and believe in it, you will succeed! Unlike you, who is so brave hiding behind a computer! Maybe you should leave! Just like those unbeliever who put up there “hell no” signs, who have quit or who’s jobs were terminated!
I hate to tell you we told you changes were coming three years ago, even Tito told the L.A. Times reporter this was going to happen.
Next time you put a comment grow a pair, and put your name!

Anonymous way to go; trust me I will quit the minute U.P.S hire's me on to full time status. You know I have to paid my dues like everybody does by seniorty, remember U.P.S respects and gives dignity to their employees. Now how the hell does FedEx respects you, like shit... but for now I have to work two jobs cause I have hungry childrens, and I see that FedEx doesn't care for your family, you really need a union here at FedEx. thx Mario.F

There is absolutely nothing to lose for Fedex employees to join the Teamsters now. Benefits are being cut in half and all employees are being affected in one way or another. It is sad to see the managers blogging in with constant negative comments and no real solutions to help these employees who have their benefits being cut. Fedex hourly employees keep having a positive attitude for change. By having a positive attitude things will come around for the better and hopefully benefits will be restored to the workers who were forced to go to part time status.

Yeah, right. That's gonna happen.

But let's say it does happen. How long do you think people will keep them before Fedex pulls the rug out from under us, again? Fedex management is no different than the assholes paying billions in bonuses with government bailout money.

Quit dreaming and get out there and sell the Teamsters to the rest of the crew!

If a jerk-off like Rush Limbaugh can sell Republican swill to millions of people--against their own best ineterests!--we ought to be able to sell people an idea that actually supports their own best interests!

How many people are actually spreading the word?

WERE GETTING THE WORD OUT BUT IT WOULD HELP IF THOSE EMPLOYEES FROM OTHER CENTERS CAME DOWN IN A SHOW OF SUPPORT SO OTHER EMPLOYEES KNOW FOR SURE THERE IS A MOVEMENT. WE HEAR ABOUT IT BUT DONT SEE IT. WHY NOT PUT SOMETHING TOGETHER FOR EVERYONE THAT SAYS WE ARE UNITED IN THIS FIGHT. THE LAST TWO MEETINGS WE HAD LESS THAN 2 DAYS NOTICE TO REACT AND MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND.

WHEN IS THE NEXT 952 MEETING ??
