I’m Back I had to work to support you profit sucking leaches who cannot start their own companies but suck the profit out of a company. Once again your propaganda has not worked. When will you realize or comprehend that the unions are the demise of our great country. I have now realized that only the lazy would want to work for a union since you have no ability or the drive to work for pay per performance. O I’m sorry I used large words. Let me dumb it down for you. You are lazy useless and not needed in the industry. There did I make it clear for you. Get a job and work for your money.

This is some god-awful writing. If you learn how to punctuate, you could do a much better job of articulating your ideas. As it stands, I dismiss you and everything you attempted to say.

Liberty4u, must be Fred Smith himself, because if liberty4u is a mere employee he has a lot nerve stating; “I’m back, I had to work to support you profit sucking leaches who cannot start their own companies but suck the profit out of a company”. Liberty, if you earn a weekly paycheck like the rest of us. Management or not! The continued success of FedEx is just as important to you as it is for us. What Liberty must realize is unionization allows employees to bargain for fair wages, benefits and working conditions without the fear of retribution or the fear of losing their jobs. Unions created the middle class in America; unions are responsible the forty hour work week, the eight hour work day, paid vacations, and work place safety (OSHA). A collective bargaining agreement involves workers organizing together to meet, discuss and negotiate the work conditions with their employers. It allows for legal remedies against employers who engage in unfair labor practices.
At the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, employers held absolute power in the workplace; which resulted in sweatshops, child labor, 14-hour work days, unsafe and unsanitary working conditions. There was virtually no middle class; our nation consisted of the wealthy and the working poor. In 1954, there were 17 million union members, which was 35 percent of the workforce. The percentage of union workforce have decline steadily from a high of 35 percent in the mid-1950s to 12 percent today. This is the result of a weakened labor movement and the growing inequality of income which leads to the decline of the middle class. As workers receive a smaller share of the nation's wealth, they consume less; the use of credit card purchases has contributed to our current economic crisis. During the last decade, workers productivity rose in the United States, while incomes fell for middle-class workers.
Therefore, Liberty4u is obviously in the wealthy class here in America or he is a part of a completely misguided part of the workforce, who is not looking out for his own best interest.

I worked at Fedex..10 years, one of the great American companies. Fred Smith, a fantastic human being, took the human spirit to a new level, had th balls to make the big decisions and take a lota losses from the start, only to develop a great shipping company that you work for today. Im in union, your making a big mistake, if I had to do it all over again, would a never left fedex. Rather than make all the winners that work for fedes have to suffer w union dues and rules, while the dues line the pockets of the top brass in the union hall, why dont ya just leave the company an go be lazy somewhere else an leave fedex be. Your going to cost the companie which then will raise rates and loss of volume eventually, followed by layoffs, and a falling stock price. Get real please, take a look at the economy and find the benefit for me of unionization. What it comes down to for hourly workers is ya get a couple guys that plainly put jus cant hack bein told what to do. Well, got nes for ya someone has to be the boss. And rather than unionize, why not get involved in leap and make something of yourself, or it may be too difficult to actually aply yourself, maybe a bit uncomfortable, well its when were uncomfortable that were actually challenging ourselves and learning. Unions had their day, but today they represent those in society that just want to coast along and complain everyday, and theyll always have something to complain about because as they say complain an compound pain.as i remember i had a pension and 401 k which i did well w, do yuou actually think theyll keep the 401 k going for you union guys?..uh..no!..thats gone..and youll have to make ex amount of hours, um?..do you think thr management is going to let you make the hours for the year to gaurente you get credit for the pension for that year?..um..no!..plus as i recall, i signed in writing no collective bargaining before i was hored, so, if thats the case nationwide, your in violation of a contractual obligation already, so, they shd just unload the losses, and rehire an train for someone that actually wants to work..as to the cali fedexers, half a them wouldnt have the life they have out there if it werent for fedex., an im guessing that half is the moaners. mAYBE NOT dunno them, so its difficult to say, i retract..lol..but take a good look at what your doing!..do you think the teamsters are actually going to make sure you get that pension money?..it goes into a fund, and if ya dont make the hours for the year, then no money for pension for you..but the money still goes their..better for you guys to educate yourself about money and be in control of what they give you match wise in 401 k, an control where it goes, rather than not know, and see your business agent get a new caddie..get it?..if i were smith, to be hoest, id just close the stations down w the higher percentage of those attempting to unionize, you guys are fools, educate yourself, before you pull the plug on your own raft.

liberty4u appears to be very ignorant. History shows that this person does not work for FedEx, and is just a frustrated blogger still working on their material.

It truly amazes me on how many English majors there are in the world. Nevertheless, only one person that supports unions even rebutted with facts, albeit a boring, well-known, factual history of the unions, everyone else was more concerned over where a period or question mark was placed. So the question that came to me was, if what I said was true and there was no rebuttal about what I stated but only comments showing how everyone was fixated on my grammar, I am left to believe that all who commented actually agreed with what I wrote. I challenge every union supporter to, instead of being a union employee, create their own company – paying all required insurances, taxes, providing benefits and granting profits to their employees. But no, this will not happen due to the fact that ALL union supporters are lazy and want the major unions to give them all the monies and benefits with a minimum amount of work. How many companies were closed under the union umbrella? I would like every union supporter to research the pros and cons, not by going to pro-union locations or going to non-union locations but by developing your own ideas from facts. I do not want to hear propaganda, just facts. You will not find any pros for the union. How about stop whining in the break-room, you Fedex road drivers, and thank Fedex for allowing you to have a job. It seems that, armed with your GED’s, you are intelligent enough to correct simple grammatical errors but you are missing the bigger picture of learning to think for yourselves. Keep this in mind: Real change and progress comes from thinking for ourselves instead of having the union mentality which makes us like sheep being led to the slaughter.

Liberty4u, your first comment, you were pretending to be something you are not. The FedEx employees who are union supporters are living in the real world, we watched our fellow Dockworkers, some with 20 years of service lose their full-time positions along with their benefits; these workers have families, kids in college, mortgage payments. Line drivers have loss their livelihood by being turned into shuttle drivers while FedEx is out sourcing their driver runs. We union supporters at FedEx are living in the real world.
Liberty says we should be thankful to FedEx for even having a job. Well FedEx cannot function without people, workers and customers. FedEx employees are all the above.

Rudy/Joe you should stop posting Liberty’s comments he is wasting our time.

A person who does not have the ability to articulate his thoughts deserves to be picked apart for his lack of grammatical skills. The only thing people can believe from that person is what they see and read. And they did.

When you come across like a brainwashed, rightwing idiot, you lose credibility. Moreover, when your diatribe is garbled and inconsistent in tense, number, and person, you lose even more credibility. And when your intent is to discourage people from making their lives better, you lose what little credibility you had left.

If you want an example of writing that will be discounted by every educated and hopeful person on this planet, just go back and read the poorly written screeds on your shitty little blog.

Now go invest your time studying in a grammar book rather than trying to protect multi-billion-dollar, global corporations from the evils of organized labor.
