Anti-Union Actions Against Pro-Union Employees at Whittier Terminal

Here is a prime example of Andy's corrupted prodigy Greg Faith (Operation Manager), Greg without any consideration suspended and tried to terminate a driver from Whittier. This driver was accused for driving with an expired driver license. But this driver had taking his re-examined test and passes it and submitted his copy to FedEx Whittier. During his suspension this driver went to DMV and investigated about his license, DMV told him that his driver license was current and never had any pause on record. So this driver obtained a copy from the DMV and presented it to Greg. Greg still was eager to resume a termination. But this driver contacted some of the committee from the FedEx Watch Dogs for Teamsters, that are educated in Labor Rights, and was told to bring in a witness and submit his copy again, if refused by Greg then we would file charges against FedEx. Once an arbitrator looks at his DVM record and note that this driver had proved no wrongful doing. Knowledge is power and we all know why Greg was trying to fire this driver, because this driver believes in UNION........

Why don't more employees just let the labor board know what is going on? Fedex is just going to keep running roughshot over you guys until you stand up for yourselves. The Union and Teamster officials need to become more involved or your organizing drive will be over before it started. This Greg Faith sounds like just another Fedex company yes man just like the rest of the management.

WHY FORM A UNION HERE ? BECAUSE ALMOST EVERYONE HAS BEEN AFFECTED BY THESE CHANGES THAT HAVE TAKEN PLACE. CONTINUE TO TAKE PLACE AND MORE CHANGES ARE COMMING. LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IS SAYING ITS LONG OVERDUE AND THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE THAT WERE JUST ABOVE POVERITY LEVEL. ANOTHER GOOD MEETING YESTERDAY TALKED ABOUT OUR FUTURE AND WHERE WERE HEADED. SOME GOOD INFO ABOUT THIS SATURDAY COMMING UP AND WHY WE NEED TO STAY ON THIS COURSE. OUR FAMILYS ARE COUNTING ON US AND WE ALL HAVE THE SAME CONCERNDS. LOOK AT THE STOCK MARKET AND REMEMBER FEDEX JUST CHANGED OUR PENSION ADDING MORE INTO THAT FIRE AND LESS INTO "GUARRENTEED" RETIRMENT BENEFITS. CORP GREED AT ITS BEST. FOR THOSE WHO DONT THINK THE UNION IS NEEDED GO AHEAD AND CHANGE JOBS BECAUSE WERE CHANGING THIS COMPANY AND ITS GOING TO HAPPEN SOON. TEAMSTERS FOR CHANGE AND WERE HERE TO STAY BROTHER. VOTE TEAMSTERS YES IN THE 2009, HAVE SOME PRIDE AND STAND UP FOR "YOUR" RIGHTS.

Don't worry about the union getting involved. First, we all have to stand up and show our managers in all our terminals that what is happening here is very wrong. As far as you saying that "it will be over before its started". We have been standing up for ourselves and for you too, for 2 1/2 years now and FedEx knows now that we are not going away! That is one reason for that lame video they been showing lately.
You sound like a person who knows what has to be done Mr Hughes. Please if you haven't already. Go to a organizing meeting in your area and get things going at your terminal. Unless your a union buster or manager yourself? Which is ok, your still invited. We're not like FedEx, who have one sided opinions and won't confront the real issues, the cowards that they are!

I have to say we need a Union badly. I am tired of having to go to meetings where we have a one sided view point, but I haven't seen any Teamster reps at the gate handing out flyers. I am not going to risk my job handing out stuff at the terminal and be fired for no good reason I don't need the stress on my family. So Teamsters get it together now. I did sign the petition and I did mail it in. Like the video says I want to go to the party.

Well Mike thanks for your input and as far as getting fired for wanting a union at your work place, its against the law to fire you for your belief in joining a union. I have been out spoken in my views and still here. But this game has rules and it belongs to the company. As long as you do your job the way the company wants you to, you'll be ok. We are "at will" employees and until we become Teamsters, we will use the Labor Laws to there fullest! To help achieve our goal in becoming FedEx Teamsters.
If your TM comes to you with a can of pink paint and tells you to "paint your tractor pink", what do you do? Thats damn right! You're going to paint that mother pink. Then on your break and when your off the clock, you talk and educate your fellow employees. The Teamsters can only get as far as the gate. Your part is behind the gate.
I'm a single income provider in my house. I have as much to lose also and so do the rest who believe that this is the right thing to do.

UNITED WE BARGAIN DIVIDED WE BEG

p.s. what terminal are you from? maybe the FedEx Watch Dogs can get our Union brothers to pay you guys a visit.

RUDY DOG!!

Hey you sound just like the guy in the HBO Special about Overnight and the Teamsters---

Hoffa's boy said---This should only take 3 days!!

HA HA

And to think--This guy is still on the teamsters payroll. How long did it really take??

Hey Oxnard, please get in contact with us at changefedextowin@yahoo.com. And lets get the ball rolling out there.

Thanks

I haven't seen the HBO special you are talking about? But it took around ten years. But things really got going after UPS purchased overnite and gave them the ok to organize after that it went quick.

We have a uphill battle to get through but if the FedEx pilots can be a Union division, why not us.

p.s. I never said it was going to take only 3 years. And if you are going to put stuff like this on this blog, Don't be a coward put your real name.

that guy sounds like management harrassing us again. we need to go union and pay less for health care. we are the ones breaking our backs and fedex should pay the bill for our healthcare.
ps Andy stop buying one of those private islands in Dubai. Were in this together right Andy. Also Andy I never got my free cooler with soda.

it's nice to see the vote union signs back at whittier.especially considering the antiunion sentament from management.it's even more shocking considering that one of them is the safe worker of the month, now that is ballsy of that guy.i just wish i had the balls to do that.

Oak Harbor ON STRIKE!!!

LA Teamsters to HONOR the strike?

Got any info on this?

Greg Faith is just a big yes man. I wonder how it feels for him kissing up to Andy for so long to keep his job. The Union is coming and maybe some labor violations from Greg Faith need to be reported now just like they do with Andy Lessin. Where is my cool with free soda Andy?

first i would like to thank everyone's support i've been getting from the people at work for putting up my vote union sign at work.
