A fellow FedEx Freight employee and a friend were injured on the job, after a period of time FedEx decided to yank his benefits (Health-Dental-Vision-Life ins). Said employee spoke with an attorney and the first question he was asked was "Are you in a Union), His reply was no and the attorney said that had he and others who had the same thing happen been organized then they would not have lost their Insurance but because they're not then FedEx can and always does eliminate whatever benefits they can as a way of saving a few bucks. And it's legal.

look at the Mccourts, dodgers v.p. divorce situation. she was fired because she was an AT WILL EMPLOYEE and they DID NOT NEED A REASON to fire her. GET IT. at will employees have no backing from anyone, only the UNION CONTRACT can save you and I from the at will termination crap. jd

I heard a story about a combo driver MR TITO aka "JACKSON" from the anaheim terminal that the same day he got fired the company cut his benefits this driver found out the hard way when he went to the farmacy to get some medicine for his wife his insurance was gone, adios, bye bye. see ya, hasta la vista baby, so long, won't be back gone with the wind why is this happening at fedex freight couse there is no union contract or job security that's why we need to bing the teamsters in to have a contract and stop the company abuseing us and i guess it is legal like the FREIGHT GUY SAID in the post after talking to a lawyer and the only way to fix this problem is to become teamaters union just like our brothers and sisters FEDEX PILOTS TEAMSTERS UNION gardena driver union supporter GO TEAMSTERS GOOO....
