Why Organize?
With a collective bargaining agreement, we have rights. For instance, management must have just cause for any disciplinary action taken against a union employee. Without a contract, employees have few rights. With a collective bargaining agreement; we have a voice in decisions that affect our jobs, livelihood and our families’ future. If we disagree with the way we are being treated, we have a grievance process that allows us to settle differences by use of a third neutral party. With a collective bargaining agreement, we bargain over wages, health benefits, working conditions and a retirement plan for our future. But, we bargain collectively with the strength that comes from a collective voice. A union's power is based upon active membership

employee appreciation week, ya thats a good one. take money from us to pay the pilots, cut our benefits out and change us to part time. charge more for medical and make us pay for uniform upkeep, give us gps to follow the freight and use it to put undo presure on drivers daily. add some 300 lb drivers to work the dock and then say how slow they work and dont forget the new employees working your hours and taking home your pay while you sit and wait for dispatch or you are sent home early. put in the zero cost of living raise and some yards are hiring new workers to start taking more of your hours away soon ( jan-aprl) and well all happy here right. As soon as you and i sign on with the teamsters and get our contract in writing, these things can and will change. Until then more and more will be lost by us. Its your choice but the teamsters can help. Vote Teamsters Yes in November.

Yrc employees took a cut not because the teamster asked them because they wanted to help the company get thru these hard times. They had a choice. What choices have our employee's had? NONE! Well they did, it was either stay or change, not by choice. Or "there's the door, don't let it hit you on the way out!"
As far as "objectives of the union?" Remember, the UNION is the FedEx employee's who want the changes to be fair and just. To have some control with the future of their jobs. So when Russ and any other managers say” the company won't deal with a third party, the"UNION", they really mean they don’t want to deal with YOU the employee!
Ask your managers if they have a contract? They most likely do. So why not you?!
It’s not what the Teamster can do for us? It's what are you going to do to make a change in your workplace?

Thanks for your question,
The FedEx watch Dogs

Lets be real if YRC employees did not take the paycut do you really think they would still be around no way. So yes they had a choice take a paycut or be out of a job.Not much of a choice and they are going down anyway its just a matter of when

saia way laying off i heard so maybe they are gonna be the next yrc who knows. as for conway they should organize asap so fedx and conway can become the new industry leaders like cf, yellow, and roadway were back in the day. like i said union companys run there course for 25 to 35 years then it all falls apart. so its our turn to run that course here and now, its our day to shine brothers and sisters. lets do this and get our goals out of life back on track. see you at the nov 8-th meeting in ocy jd.

In Anaheim vacations are denied on regular bases, because there are some drivers out on medical leaves. Year around there are always some drivers out on medicals, therefore the remaining drivers must suffer. This is an example of the illogical thinking management suffers in Anaheim.
Team effort is not a part of their agenda, every communication with management is contentious no matter the subject. This is one more reason to organize.
And for a company to base its business future on the failure of YRC, shows the short-sightedness of FedEx.

Like i said in the last comment call the labor board or talk to a labor lawyer ask if it's legal or ilegal what David Chacon is doing to the anaheim workers denied vacations in regular bases becouse some drivers are out on medical leave therefore the remainnig drivers must suffer F...k no that's not our problem that's management problem i don't have to pay for sombody's problems we need our vacation when we need it not when management want it why is it that David Chacon haven't call the last anaheim shuttler drivers on layoff Bob Kuen and Bill Mucmullen becouse their age and that's age discrimination that's right brothers and sisters this can happen to our senior drivers that's why we need to come to the next teamster meeting in ocy and vote YES couse when you have a union contract there is no AGE DISCRININATION anaheim union supporter
