It Makes Sense

Everyone is negotiating a better deal right now… except you
Think about it. FedEx is out for the best deal for them. They negotiate with suppliers to get the lowest possible prices. They negotiate with customers to get the highest return they can for the services you deliver. And management negotiates with the company for rich compensation packages. Why shouldn’t you have the same right to negotiate with FedEx for the best deal for you and your family?
Right now, FedEx calls the shots. And you live with the consequences. You don’t need to look any further than what they’ve done with your pension plan for an example of the arbitrary power they wield. And they could make more cuts to your pay and benefits any time they want.
It just makes sense!

IT WAS GREAT TO SEE THE TEAMSTERS AT OUR GATES TODAY BECAUSE WE WERE STARTING TO GET LAZY ON OUR PART. YES THE PENSION PLAN AND THE 401K THEY SCREWED WITH BOTH HAVE COST US BIG TIME. THE LOST BONUS'S BOTH THE QTR'S AND YEAR END THAT WE NEVER GOT SOURED OUR PEOPLE TOO. BUT I HEARD FEDEX EXPRESS GOT THEIRS. OUR MONEY WENT SOME WHERE, SOME ONE IS HAPPY ABOUT THAT, NOT US. IT'S TIME TO DO OUR OWN SCREWING AND LETS START BY SIGNING ON AS TEAMSTERS AT THE NOVEMBER OCY UNION MEETING. NEXT WE NEED TO GET OUT EMPLOYEES BACK THERE BENEFITS AND THEN WE NEED TO FIX THIS COST OF LIVING WAGE CRAP THEY PULLED ON US, WHILE THEY CONTINUED TO GET THEIR BONUS'S AND STOCK OPTIONS. IM INN.

"YOU MAKE THE DECISION AND DON'T LET CORPORATE DEAL FOR YOU"

You and your co-workers take control of your futures with FedEx. Knowing when you can expect increases in wages, benefits and pensions. Knowing that seniority and full-time work count for something and are protected. Knowing you have security in the years ahead, free from one-sided decisions by management that take away your hard-earned benefits.

Like so many of us here at fedex we need better health care benefits and more money in our pockets to spend on gas, food and day to day living. Hell I cant work part time for Mcdonalds if my start time keeps changing at the drop of a hat. 6.30 7.30 5.00 pm today. They keep us off balance so they can control us I guess. I also agree with anonymous who says the bonus and raise's went somewhere into some ones pocket. Teamsters needed here to look over Freds books and maybe they can find the money.

What makes the union any better of a deal than fedex or any other company out there. CF Went down and willeg went down, several union compaines have gone down over the past 15 years so how are the teamsters going to help us. Yrc took several pay cuts, so how can the teamsters get us more pay or better benefits if they allowed yrc to take money away from those folks. When is the next meeting in Ontario or Orange.

Hello Anom. In reference to the pay cuts at YRC. The Teamster members with that carrier voted fort the pay cuts themselves. YRC didn't take money away. Did some big time expansion then the economy went down. The Banks wouldn't help out so the Teamster members in that company voted to take pay cuts to help save the carrier.

I suppose what motivates me about supporting a movement to get the Union in Fedex is plain... I am simply tired of not being heard by managment. I am tired of being treated as some protoplasmic blob who happens to be able to drive a truck.

Too many times have I seen drivers relegated to working over 14 hours driving "shuttle". Too many times have I seen management unresponsive to concerns of employees and customers. Fedex is becoming, and has become, arrogant. Too Arrogant. When the local mechanic shop has no control over equipment; when drivers are sent home for not having the correct color belt: when opening and closing of entry gates to the terminal is controlled by some computer twit in Harrison, Arkansas... then Fedex has become too arrogant.

With the Union, at least Fedex will be "forced" to listen to us. Right now, We (labor) are screaming to be heard. Is Fedex management stone-cold deaf? Most definitly Yes, and I submit that Helen Keller could have heard our outrage at Fedex.

Make Fedex listen to us... Now is the time to act...
